Windows Password Reset Tool on USB Includes a full suite of tools.  We have personally updated the version of the Windows Password Resetting tool to ensure it works on all version of Windows from Windows XP right up to Windows 10 and have included it on this customer TRK USB for our customers.

On Some computers you will need to disable SECURE BOOT in order to allow booting of not only this Password Reset DVD / USB but any other software as well.  Secure Boot can be easily disable and you need to just follow the instructions on the other side of this sheet in order to disable it.  Please note that if the USB or DVD boots just fine, you do NOT need to disable Secure Boot at all and as a result we urge you to try to boot it without disabling Secure Boot first.

When TRK Password Rescue loads you get a list of tasks TRK can perform. Navigate down to the 4th option (Windows Password Resetting) using the arrow keys and press Enter once it is highlighted.

1.      Once you select that option, you get a list of ways you can select to reset your lost password. Here we select the Winpass prompts for username first option. TRK will ask you the username whose password you want to reset.

2.      At this point, TRK will search your hard drive for all currently Windows installations and list them. You’ll need to select the relevant installation here. If you have only one version of Windows installed, then merely press 1 and hit Enter.  Most people have just a single installation of Windows. Should you have more, please feel free to contact us for any additional help.

3.      Now, at the final stage, you will get yet another list of options. Here, you can Press either 1 to Clear (BLANK Out / Reset) Windows User password, or if you would like to set a new Password, Press 2 to change your password, which is the  “Edit (set new) user password” to change your Windows password offline.

4.      Now EJECT the TRK CD or the USB Drive and restart the computer.  You can log on to Windows with your new password!

That’s all there was to it.  Quick and easy password reset for your Windows PC.
